Pack The Travel Bag

Place your golf bag inside the Car Top Golf Travel Bag, club heads first (Fig 1). Slide the golf bag to the rear end of the Travel Bag. Buckle the belt strap around the golf bag (Fig 2).

Close the zipper towards the rear end of the Travel Bag. Secure the hook-&-loop-close zipper cover. Place the Travel Bag(s) on the vehicle's roof in one of the following configurations:

(1) Travel Bag - in center of roof - requires (1) strap set
(2) Travel Bags - side by side - requires (1) strap set
(3) Travel Bags* - side by side - requires (1) strap set
*vehicle’s roof must measure at least 45” W

Never attach the straps directly to the d-rings which can cause damage to the carrier. The d-rings function as guides for the straps, not as attachment points for the straps.

Attach The Travel Bag - WITH A Roof Rack

The Car Top Golf Travel Bag comes with (2) straps that attach side to side between the roof rack side rails (after you remove the Car Clips). Make sure your roof rack is anchored to your vehicle and don’t exceed its weight limit.

Unthread the short strap piece from the center buckle on the first strap (Fig 3). Attach the short strap piece to your rack by threading its end through its loop and pulling tight (Fig 4). Secure the long strap piece to the rack on the opposite side of the vehicle by the same method.

Run both strap pieces through the d-rings of the outer most Travel Bag(s) (Fig 5). Run the long strap piece through the top d-ring(s) and over the handle strap(s) of the Travel Bag(s) (Fig 5). Make sure the center buckle is facing up and the strap pieces are not twisted.

Thread the short strap piece back through the center buckle and tighten (Fig 6).

Repeat these steps for the second strap (Fig 7).

Attach The Travel Bag - WITHOUT A Roof Rack

On a 4-door vehicle, (1) strap will attach to the front door frames and (1) strap will attach to the rear door frames. On a 2-door vehicle, (2) straps will attach to the the front door frames.

Unthread the short strap piece from the center buckle on the first strap (Fig 8).

Run both strap pieces through the side d-rings of the outer most Travel Bag(s) (Fig 9). Run the long strap piece through the top d-ring(s) and over the handle strap(s) of the Travel Bag(s) (Fig 9). Make sure the center buckle is facing up and the strap pieces are not twisted.

Thread the short strap piece back through the center buckle (Fig 10). Attach the Car Clips under the door frame weather molding and tighten the strap (Fig 11). Make sure the strap has enough tension to keep the top of the Clips straight up and down (not angling out from the door frame).

Repeat these steps for the second strap (Fig 12). Shut the vehicle’s doors over the clips/straps (Fig 13).

Final Strap Adjustments

Move each strap’s tri-glide to the end of the loose strap (Fig 14). Tie off any excess strap on the other side of the center buckle (Fig 15). If the straps are too long, cut off the extra length and melt the cut end to prevent fraying.

Check the straps before driving and regularly throughout the trip.
