It also protects your vehicle’s roof from damage caused by sharp-edged objects inside the carrier. The Pad's premium solid construction is a sizable upgrade over the copycat pads with holes. It is especially recommended when using car top carriers on vehicles WITHOUT a roof rack.

The Car Top Carrier Cable Lock helps ensure that your gear stays in your cargo bag and on your vehicle. The steel cable is designed to run through your zipper pulls and can be used with all Rightline Gear Carriers, including the Car Top Duffle Bag and the Car Back Carrier. The Car Top Carrier Cable Lock has no keys to lose and features a lightweight plastic housing that won’t damage your vehicle.

Most vehicles today come with flush-mounted side rails or no roof racks at all. These vehicles don’t have raised roof rack side rails or cross bars for car top carrier attachment straps to wrap around.
