The Tech Report with Rich DeMuro featured the Rightline Gear Pop Up Tent along with several other camping related items in an April 14th segment. The segment featured products that make camping easier and more efficient. They found new products on the market that may not be familiar to consumers as of yet. Also featured were the Pelican Tablet Backpack, the Nomad 7 Solar Panel, the BioLite Camp Stove, the Eton Rukus Solar sound system, and the Energizer 2-in-1 Flashlight. We have personal experience with the Biolite Stove and give it a strong recommendation. The Tech Report is produced in Los Angeles for the Tribune network and is syndicated to 30+ stations across the country. Some pretty good exposure for the new version of our Pop Up Tent.

The new Sport Car Top Carriers’ Hydtrotuff Material has been replaced by a new formulation of Hydrotuff Material in addition to PVC Mesh. The bags are constructed with our Dual Seam Technology. The two materials are sewn together for strength and then welded along the same line to make the seam waterproof. We feel that this new technology will yield great durability and of course we get the benefit of waterproof welded seams.

We have kept the already great features of the previous Sport Car Top Carriers: ZipRight System, Urethane Coated Zipper, Aerodynamic Design, Stuff Sack, etc. We have added a set of sewn instructions on the stuff sack that you will not be able to loose.

The Sport Carriers have also received a branding makeover. Rightline Gear and its fox logo have taken over for PackRight.

We have also found a way to make it easier to use our carriers WITHOUT a roof rack. The new PackRight Car Clips attach to the standard straps of our carriers to attach them to vehicle door frames.

At a retail cost of $12.95, the Car Clips are a much better bargain than our previous Car Clip Strap Set which will be discontinued.The Non-Skid Roof Pad and Car Top Carrier Cable Lock will round out the accessory line up for these cargo bags.

The new Sport Car Top Carriers will remain at their previous retail prices: Sport 3 $119.95, Sport 1 $84.95, Sport Jr $79.95. We have achieved our goals of significant product improvement without raising the cost to the consumer.

The time spent was helpful in understanding how the Sportsman’s Warehouse customer shops and makes their decisions. Sportsman’s Warehouse has been carrying the Rightline Gear CampRight Truck Tents and SUV Tents since November, 2011.

Steven indicated that their customers appreciate the opportunity to enter into the full size tents set up on their sales floor. This process helps them envision what their camping experience will be like in the particular tent. Rightline Gear has discussed the opportunity to set up the new SUV Tent in the stores with the Sportsman’s Warehouse corporate office. Certainly the current SUV Tent with Screen Room is too large, but the new SUV Tent may fit well on the sales floor. Rightline Gear would love its customers to have the opportunity to see a SUV Tent fully set up before their purchase-what a great benefit.

We will let everyone know if this option becomes available along with the new SUV Tents.

The SUV Tent can accommodate up to 6 people.  The tent can sleep 4 and the vehicle 2.

This great camping tent for SUVs will be available May 23, 2012.

The Ace is able to attach to vehicles With or Without roof racks to maintain the same versatility as our other carriers. With roof racks, it can attach with (2) straps front to back or (2) straps side to side or by using all (4) straps at once. Without roof racks, it can attach by running the straps through the vehicle or by using the Car Clips to hold the carrier to the door frame of the vehicle.
