Pack The Auto Duffle Bag

Pack the Duffle Bag full, close the zipper, and secure the hook-&-loop-close zipper cover. Place items with sharp or pointed edges in the middle and pack softer items around them.


Attach The Auto Duffle Bag(s) - Truck Bed

Unthread the short strap piece from the center buckle on the first strap (Fig 1). Attach the short strap piece to a corner cleat by threading its end through its loop and pulling tight (Fig 2). Go to the opposite side of the truck bed and secure the long strap piece to the corner cleat by the same method.

Run both strap pieces through the side d-ring of the outermost Duffle Bag(s). Run the long strap piece through the top d-ring(s) of the Duffle Bag(s). Make sure the center buckle is facing up and the strap pieces are not twisted (Fig 3).

Thread the short strap piece back through the center buckle and tighten(Fig 4).

Attach The Auto Duffle Bag(s) - Roof

Remove the shoulder straps of the Duffle Bag(s) and place them in the outer pocket(s). Place the Duffle Bag(s) in rows of (1) to (3) on the roof of cars, crossovers, and SUVs, and (1) to (4) on the roof of Jeep Wrangler hard tops, JK, TJ, YJ, CJ. Each Auto Duffle Bag comes with (2) straps that attach the bag(s) to vehicles WITH or WITHOUT a roof rack.

WITH A Roof Rack

Unthread the short strap piece from the center buckle on the first strap (Fig 5). Attach the short strap piece to your rack by threading its end through its loop and pulling tight (Fig 6). Go the the opposite side of the vehicle and secure the long strap piece to the rack by the same method.

Run both strap pieces through the side d-ring of the outermost Duffle Bag(s). Run the long strap piece through the top d-ring(s) of the Duffle Bag(s). Make sure the center buckle is facing up and the strap pieces are not twisted (Fig 7 and Fig 8).

Thread the short strap piece back through the center buckle and tighten (Fig 9). Repeat steps 1-4 for the second strap.

WITHOUT A Roof Rack - Jeep Wrangler Hard Top

Unthread the short strap piece from the center buckle on the first strap (Fig 10).

Push the short strap piece’s loop through the gap over the roll bar (Fig 11 and Fig 12). Attach the short strap piece to the roll bar by threading its end through its loop (Fig 13) and pulling tight (Fig 14).

Go to the opposite side of the Wranger and secure the long strap piece to the roll bar by the same method.

Run both strap pieces through the side d-rings of the outermost Duffle Bag(s). Run the long strap piece through the top d-ring(s) of the Duffle Bag(s). Make sure the center buckle is facing up and the strap pieces are not twisted. (Fig 15)

Thread the short strap piece back through the center buckle and tighten (Fig 16). Repeat steps 1-5 for the second strap. Shut the vehicle’s doors over the straps.

WITHOUT A Roof Rack - Through The Vehicle

Unthread the short strap piece from the center buckle on the first strap (Fig 17). Connect the loop-ends of the strap pieces together (Fig 18).

Run the strap through the vehicle, through the side d-rings of the outermost Duffle Bag(s), and over the top of the carrier through the top d-rings. Make sure the center buckle is facing up and the strap is not twisted (Fig 19 and Fig 20).

Thread the strap’s end through its buckle and tighten (Fig 21). Repeat steps 1-4 for the second strap

WITHOUT A Roof Rack - Car Clips

Add the Rightline Gear Car Clips (sold separately) to the (2) included straps. Unthread the short strap piece from the center buckle on the first strap (Fig 22).

Run both strap pieces through the side d-rings of the outermost Duffle Bag(s). Run the long strap piece through the top d-ring(s) of the Duffle Bag(s). Make sure the center buckle is facing up and the strap pieces are not twisted (Fig 23).

Thread the short strap piece back through the center buckle and tighten (Fig 24).

Attach the Car Clips under the door frame weather molding and tighten the strap (Fig 25). Make sure the strap has enough tension to keep the top of the Clips straight up and down (not angling out from the door frame). Repeat steps 1-5 for the second strap. Shut the vehicle’s doors over the clips/straps (Fig 26).

Attach The Auto Duffle Bag(s) - Cargo Basket

Unthread the short strap piece from the center buckle on the first strap (Fig 27). Attach the short strap piece to the cargo basket by threading its end through its loop and pulling tight (Fig 28). Go to the opposite side of the vehicle and secure the long strap piece to the cargo basket by the same method.

Run both strap pieces through the side d-rings of the outermost Duffle Bag(s). Run the long strap piece through the top d-ring(s) of the Duffle Bag(s). Make sure the center buckle is facing up and the strap pieces are not twisted (Fig 29).

Thread the short strap piece back through the center buckle and tighten (Fig 30). Repeat steps 1-4 for the second strap.

Attach The Auto Duffle Bag(s) - Hitch Rack

Unthread the short strap piece from the center buckle on the first strap (Fig 31). Attach the short strap piece to the front side of the hitch rack by threading its end through its loop and pulling tight (Fig 32). Secure the long strap piece to the back side of the hitch rack by the same method.

Run both strap pieces through the side d-rings of the Duffle Bag. Run the long strap piece through the top d-ring of the Duffle Bag. Make sure the center buckle is facing up and the strap pieces are not twisted (Fig 33).

Thread the short strap piece back through the center buckle and tighten (Fig 34). Repeat steps 1-4 for the second strap of the Duffle Bag and for both straps if a second Duffle Bag is used (Fig 33).

Final Strap Adjustments

Move each strap’s tri-glide to the end of the loose strap (Fig 34). Tie off any excess strap on the other side of the center buckle (Fig 35). If the straps are too long, cut off the extra length and melt the cut end to prevent fraying.

Check the straps before driving and regularly throughout the trip.
